What a move costs depends on a handful of things. Once you know what they are, you will better understand where a price comes from and where you can save yourself.
How much needs to move
The biggest factor is the amount of household contents. That determines how many movers and how many trips are needed. Decluttering before the move is therefore also the easiest way to save.
The distance
Within the same town you are finished more quickly than with a move from Den Helder to Leeuwarden. Over a longer distance, travel time counts too.
Access to both homes
- Which floor do you live on, and is there a lift?
- Are the stairs narrow or steep?
- Can the removal van park outside the door, or is there some walking involved?
Details like these make a big difference. That is why we ask about them in the moving check.
Extra services
Packing, dismantling and reassembling furniture, connecting the washing machine or leaving the old home broom-clean: it is all possible, and it is included in the price if you tell us in advance.
The date
The end of the month and the summer are busy. If you are flexible with your moving date, let us know.
Why a fixed price
With an hourly rate, you only find out afterwards what you have spent. With a fixed price you know in advance, and that stays the same, even if it takes an hour longer.
